Just this week our older son began drum lessons. I had purchased the drum over the summer and scheduled the lessons several weeks ago, yet I had not purchased a book because I was awaiting the teacher's suggestion. One day our daughter spotted Fundamentals for the Snare Drum at a yard sale. I thought it's be a great addition to whatever our son would be working on and couldn't go wrong by spending $.25 on this book.
During his first lesson, the instructor pulled open the middle drawer from a plastic storage bin containing an entire stack of books for the drum. As he said, "I like to start with this", I noticed the familiar cover of Fundamentals for the Snare Drum. The retail price is $12.99. This is just the most recent incident in which God has provided for our family in a miraculous way....sometimes in a big way, sometimes in a small one. I cannot help but think of Philippians's 4:19. "And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from His glorious riches, which have been given to us through Christ Jesus."
