Watch for those Rebate Checks!

If you have been picking up the "FREE after MIR" items listed each week, soon you will be receiving those much anticipated checks in the mail.  Watch carefully because often these are postcard sized and can easly  be lost.  Here's a quick, true story about one such check I received almost two years ago:

After returning from our mailbox, my six-year-old came in stating, "We only got 3 things."  I looked on the table and saw only two envelopes.  He said, "The third one was really small, so it doesn't matter."  We could see a small card lying on the driveway, but in the few seconds it took to grab a pair of shoes, the wind caught the card and it disappeared.  We ventured onto the cul-de-sac and saw a postcard sized item sitting in a pile of leaves in front of my neighbor's house.  When I picked it up, I noticed it was $15 rebate check!  At least we found it!
