Christmas Candy Bars

What's a girl to do when she has a stack of King-sized candy bars and a dozen or so school personnel she'd like to give a little token gift to supposed to do?  When I was faced with this little dilemma, I made wrappers for the candy bars.  This little trick works for any size Hershey or Nestle bar and can be used for Christmas stockings, gift baskets or little gifts of appreciation.

Start with the candy bar of your choosing, then use Microsoft Word (or similar software) to create a wrapper following these steps:
  • Center the text down the middle of the page
  • Select an attractive font (I prefer script) and increase size to fit the size of the candy bar
  • Change the lettering to red and/or green, then type a message (Such as "Merry Christmas 2010")  Feel free to personalize with "Love, Johnny and Suzie" or other message.
  • Insert clip art below the message.
  • Print in gray-scale.
  • Lay candy bar over wrapper, then adjust size of font and or clip art to match candy.
  • Print in color, trim sides to match original wrapper than carefully tape to bar.
You wrapper will resemble this:
