Food Lion Private Brand Super Sale

After completing our schoolwork, cleaning up the lunch dishes and folding laundry, I decided to run a couple of errands.  Since both boys would be in tow, we were limited to two stops....Sam's and one more.  Torn between grabbing the freebies at Kroger or checking out the prices at Food Lion, I chose the latter.   Had I known how unpromising this sale is, I'd have headed to Kroger.  Below are prices for the least expensive items we could find throughout the store.  Compared to last week's Buy 10, Save $3 Now and $3 Later Kroger Sale and the Buy 7, get $5 GC Target offer (also last week), I was not impressed.  That being said, scan the list below to find some decent deals (prices in bold).  For those who live "in the country" (as we called it where I grew up), Food Lion may be your only local shopping option.  In this case, the prices below for many of the items normally $1 or less may be the best "stock up" price you will see.  Happy Shopping!
