Henrico Residents may pick up FREE Mulch at either of the county's Public Use Areas (Details HERE)
This offer is available year-round, however the quality of the mulch depends on the type of yard waste which has been recently dropped off. Based on the number of trees that fell during Hurricane Irene, it may be a great time to load up on mulch! Two additional tips:
- Borrow a truck, if you don't own one (offer to pay for the gas and/or return the truck with a load of mulch for the owner)
- The most efficient way to spread mulch is with a pitch fork. Borrow one of these as well.
