Croutons Recipe

When it comes to salad toppings, there's nothing quite as tasty as croutons.  When you discover how easy it is to make these, you may never want to pay $2 for just a few ounces of the crunchy delights!

Ingredients:

2 Tbsp Cooking Oil
2 Tbsp Parmesan Cheese
1/4 Teaspoon each:
  • Oregano (or Italian Seasoning)
  • Garlic Salt
  • Celery Salt
6 slices of bread (dry is better than fresh) cut into cubes

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.  Mix oil, cheese and spices in large bowl.  Add bread cubes and toss lightly until covered.  Transfer to a baking sheet.  Bake until crisp and slightly brown, turning after 3 or 4 minutes.  Allow to cool, then store in an airtight container.
