According to the Wall Street Journal (video HERE), the price for your favorite nutty spread could be going up as much as 40%. Pick up extra peanut products before the new prices go into effect.
- Peanut Butter: CVS has Jiff (18 oz) sale priced 3/$5 through Saturday, November 5. Inventory at the drug store may be slim, so if you would like more than a few jars, take the ad to Walmart or Target for a price match.
- Peanuts: Sam's Club typically has the best price on canned peanuts. Check expiration dates, then stock-up based on how much your family would eat before these expire.
- Peanut Butter Candy: Hershey's going to be paying more for peanut butter as well. You can assume they'll be passing these costs onto you when you pick up a Reese's cup or Reese's Pieces. (The price will increase and/or the product size will decrease.) Stock-up on Halloween Clearance items to satisfy your sweet tooth!
