- Ask a friend who has membership to pick-up a bar (or more) for you. Give her the money in advance ($6.64 including tax).
- Go to Sam's Club and ask for a One-Day Membership. There is a 5% up charge for One-Day Memberships (the Dipping Bar will be $6.80, plus tax).
- Search grocery store or box stores for "Almond Bark". (Although I do not think this is as tasty, I purchased a huge stack at Target one year on clearance in January for $.50 each. The expiration date was for 15 months later. They stayed hidden in the dark cabinet over the refrigerator, which rarely gets opened until they were needed.)
- Using a 40% or 50% off coupon at Michael's, purchase "Wilton Candy Melts". (Usually these are expensive per pound, however they come in a variety of colors.)
- Use chocolate chips instead of Candy Melt. (Melt in double boiler over hot, NOT boiling water. Add one tablespoon of vegetable shortening. Mix then use to as recipe requires.)
